These Terms govern your use of CabPass at cabpass.uk, including the driver portal where jobs are posted, unlocked, completed and paid. By creating an account, applying to join, or using any part of CabPass, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who CabPass is for

CabPass is a private platform exclusively for licensed London Black Cab drivers holding a valid TfL London Taxi Driver Licence (green or yellow badge). It is not a service for passengers, minicab, private hire or ride-hailing drivers. Every applicant is verified and approved manually before being given access.

2. What CabPass is

CabPass is a single platform. The public pages provide information and let eligible drivers apply to join; once approved, you log in to the same platform to post jobs, browse and unlock jobs, manage your wallet, and request withdrawals. CabPass facilitates driver-to-driver handovers and holds the unlock fee securely until a job is completed. CabPass is not a taxi booking service and is not a party to the journey between you and the customer.

3. Applying to join

Applying is a request to be considered for access; it does not guarantee acceptance. We verify each applicant's current TfL London Taxi Driver Licence manually and may decline or remove applications at our discretion. An invite code (where used) simply flags your application as invited — it does not grant automatic approval. All drivers go through the same manual verification.

4. How CabPass works

When a driver posts a job they cannot complete, another approved driver may unlock it by paying a £20 unlock fee. That fee is held securely and only released once the journey has been completed and confirmed — £10 to the posting driver and £10 to CabPass. The accepting driver keeps 100% of the fare paid by the customer. You are responsible for delivering any job you accept to the standard expected of a licensed London Black Cab driver.

5. Payments and the unlock fee

The £20 unlock fee is taken securely at the point of unlocking and held in escrow. If a job is cancelled or does not complete, the fee is handled in line with our cancellation and dispute process, which may include a refund, a hold pending review, or release as appropriate. Payment processing is provided by our payment partner (Stripe); by paying, you also agree to their terms.

6. Payout & Withdrawal Policy

This section explains how driver earnings work. A plain-English summary is shown in your wallet.

• How earnings accrue: Earnings become available only after a handover is successfully completed and confirmed under the CabPass workflow. For driver-originated jobs, the posting driver receives £10 once the accepting driver confirms "Journey Completed". (For future Business / Trusted Partner jobs, the same principle will apply to the originating account.) Pending earnings are not withdrawable until they become available.
• Minimum withdrawal: £10.
• Processing time: During the beta period, withdrawal requests are normally processed manually within 3–5 working days.
• Fees: CabPass charges no withdrawal fees.
• Holds and reviews: CabPass reserves the right to temporarily hold or delay payouts while investigating suspected fraud, disputes, duplicate claims, payment failures, or breaches of these Terms.
• Identity verification: CabPass may request additional verification before processing a withdrawal where required.
• Future changes: Withdrawal rules (such as minimum amounts or processing times) may be updated in future. The current policy is always published here on CabPass.

7. Private beta

CabPass is currently operating as a private beta. Features, limits and processes may change as we improve the service, and some operations (such as withdrawals) are handled manually. We will always act in good faith to protect driver earnings held on the platform.

8. Acceptable use

You agree to provide accurate information, to use CabPass lawfully and honestly, to honour jobs you accept, to keep customer information confidential, and not to attempt to disrupt, misuse or gain unauthorised access to the platform. Sharing job details outside CabPass, other than the privacy-safe teaser links CabPass provides, is not permitted.

9. Customer privacy

Customer names, phone numbers and exact addresses are private and are only revealed to a verified driver after a job is unlocked. You must use customer details solely to complete the job and must not retain or share them.

10. Intellectual property

The CabPass name, logo, content and design are owned by CabPass and may not be copied or used without permission.

11. Disclaimers

CabPass is provided "as is". While we work to keep the platform accurate and available, we do not guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, CabPass is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when they were last revised.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
